This study revealed that only 9.2% patients who were coming to hospital did not use medicine, 8% used only ORS. Antibiotic plus ORS were used in 15.6%, antidiarrhea plus ORS in 8.6% while in 50.6% multiple drugs were used. In total 52% of patients used anti diarrheal alone or with other drugs. Fifty seven percent of patients had moderate-severe dehydration. Malnutrition was observed in 30.8% of cases, it was more common in formula-fed and those on mixed feeding compared to exclusively breast feed babies.
