Comparison of treatment outcome of hemorrhoids using electro cauterization versus injection sclerotherapy.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of electro cauterization versus injection sclerotherapy in first degree harmorthhoids in respect of pain and necurrence meterials and methods. Methods: Atotal of 130 patients were included in my study at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore from September 2017 to September 2021.The history in detail was taken from the patients and proctoscopic examination was done . Patients were dinded into 2 groups one groups was treated with electroculeriztion and the other group was treated with injection scolero therapy (IS) The outcome was measured. Results: The mean age of he patients was 45 years to patients were females. Pvalue of injection sclerotherapy was 0.001. It mean the injection sclerotherapy was not so much effective p value for EC was 0.045 also higher number of patients were compared. Conclusion: Although EC is more painful to the patients with a hemorrhoids but its effectiveness was high in treating its degree hermorhoid.
