Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed an esophageal ulcer at 29 cm level, which was biopsied. The histological findings of the specimen confirmed tuberculosis with presence of caseating granulomas and Langhan`s giant cells. His chest x-ray did not show any radiological sign of tuberculosis. A course of treatment with combination of isoniazide, rifampicin, ethambutol and pyrazinamide was prescribed with complete resolution of clinical features.
