Professional Med J Jan ;11(1):95-7.

A 12 years old boy accidently ingested some medication when he drank the bottle of Pepsi in which insecticide was kept. On the basis of his history and clinical examination, diagnosis of organophosphorus poisoning was made. He ultimately developed ventilatory failure due to the involvement of respiratory muscles and put on ventilatory support. He was given Inj atropine repeatedly according to his symptoms and signs. Later he improved and weaned off the ventilator. At the end, he was discharged safely from the hospital with full recovery.
