The Fusion of Epiphysis at the Medial end of Clavicle.

It is possible to determine approximate age of an individual by radiological examination of bones until ossification is complete. There is a controversy regarding the age of fission of the epiphysis at the medial end of clavicle. This study was done over a period of 8 years. A total of 102 male subjects were included. They were divided into four groups depending on the age. These groups were compared for the once of fusion of epiphysis of medial end of clavicle with the help of radiographs. We found partial fusion in 10% of first group, 60% of the second group and 82% of the third group. 18% subjects of the third group showed complete fusion. The fourth group comprising of 25 years old showed complete fusion in 100%.
