The authors, editors and reviewers ethical triad: its impact on quality of papers, contents of a journal and image of science.
J Pak Dent Assoc Jan ;15(1):6-12.

In their wish to communicate with readers, through publication in journals, the authors are guided by the journal editors and reviewers. This triad of authors, editors and reviewers, should have the common goal of enhancing the quality of communication, through published papers, in journals. However, on many occasions, it has evidenced acts of frauds, misconducts and unethical behaviours on the part of all and especially of authors. This article attempts at reviewing some common issues of misconduct and unethical attitudes related to authors of manuscripts. Concurrently, the editors and reviewers of journals are also helped, by guiding them, how to play effectively their due roles of facilitating the publication of quality papers. By this, we will ensure providing valid evidence for the continually changing clinical practices that are normally based on research findings. This can be easily achieved if the authors, editors and reviewers of biomedical journals established an ethical and professional alliance free of bias and monetary gains and interest; an emerging trend among all involved in the publication of research. Necessary recommendations are given in this regard.
