Coarctation of aorta with small patent ductus arteriosus.
Pak Paed J Jan ;29(4):205-8.

Coarctation of aorta is an important treatable cause of secondary hypertension. The prevalence of this congenital acyanotic heart disease is 5-8% of all the congenital heart diseases and is twice as common in males. The association of a patent ductus arteriosus with coarctation of the aorta has occurred in about 7% of cases of coarctation of the aorta. We report a case of a 22 months old boy who had recurrent episodes of chest infections and was admitted with the signs of congestive cardiac failure.
