Who distributed the questionnaires along-with stamped envelopes among women and requesting them to distribute among their friends and to fill-out the same and return by mail to her. Results: Eighty six responses were received, out of the 127 questionnaires distributed i.e. a response rate of 67.7%. Over half of women, both single and married, reported thinking about sex, either everyday or every week. Half of single and three-quarters of married women reported having had sex either few times a week or month in the past year. And both single as well as married women were predominantly monogamous. Conclusion: The results are only preliminary and based on convenience sampling. Large population based studies are required to elucidate the sexual behavior of men and women for efficient public health policy formulation in Pakistan.
