PakMediNet Discussion Forum : Medicine : Muslim Doctors, Medical Students & Prospective Medics
Salaams,
I just wanted to tell you about a new website that I have launched, Muslimmedic.com.
MuslimMedic Forums (www.muslimmedic.com) have been created to provide a platform for muslim health workers and students from all over the globe to interact online.
Students currently studying in medical school can use the forums to discuss about exams, research, SSMs, Intercalated BSc courses, text books and any other issue related to university life.
It is also a place for prospective medical and healthcare students to get advice about the application and admission procedures such as interviews, UCAS personal statements, accommodation, entry requirements, etc.
Be part of the only online community which brings together muslim medical students, doctors, health workers and prospective medics. Please visit http://www.muslimmedic.com
Registration is totally free!

please try to resist the temptation of division of the noble profession of medicine on the basis of religion. Muslims are already paying the price of being secluded from rest of the world , if you want contribute to the world rather than just muslim community. All human beings are equal and no religion whatsoever increses or decreases the importance of a human being.
Efforts like these increase the already heightened feeling of the existing minorities in the country that they are second rate citizens.
We should first try to be good human beings and by the end we would discover that we are good muslims already.

What is Proffesionalism ? Good Human being ? Individuality?
Equality, Justice, care by which criteria ? If Pak medinet is OK then why not Islam medinet ? Complex
To be a Good human being you have to be a Good Muslim. A Good Muslim will always be a good human being. Islam teaches human beings all about humanity. Human values are humane only when human do what they are supposed to do.They can only find out what they are supposed to do by the One Who created them. We as muslims should show the world and lead them out the Darkness in every field of life including medicine. Unfortunately most of us will like to follow . Little we realise we are charishing principles they have taken from our past. Good Muslim Doctors are the ones respected in all communities. We should have a forum to discuss.

I would trust and respect a surgeon or Physician because of his comptence and honesty regardless of what religion or ethnicity they belong to. The Problem with us is that we try to religionise everything. Is Paki net not working without being labeled as Islami net. We can all in our own surrounding work for the benefit of islam and let it be place where only medical issues are discussed. We should always remember that we have a reasonably large minority population which is a very important part of our population and by no means we should try to make them feel that they are isolated.

I hope that this muslim medic site soon doesnot start churning money by ads and commercilaization.
How pathetic a feeling it is that i donot know anybody donot have dealt with any body but only prefer him/her to somebody i know just because he is not a Muslim. A tenth century thinking. Here we see ppl who are at some respectable stage today only because countries like states and UK fell pity on them and allowed them visa and residensies after those guys have lined up like beggars outside thier consulates from 4 AM and after they benefit from these countries than they have a FIT of Patriotism (artificial) and Religion, which actually never translates into reality and actually as soon as they are called back by there old masters they run back to the greener pastures ut still always keep whinning.

hahahahahahahahahaha, muslim doctors will discuss judeo-christian medicine? Get off this religious horse, Salahuddin has been dead for many centuries. First thing that all Muslims need to do is learn accurate Islam and understand it.

atually there's a problem with you guys.........u think talking abt islam in normal life makes you a radical, which is absolutely outrageous, wat is the big deal if some one comes up with a 'muslim' medical site?Like some1 said if we can have a Pakistani site, wats the problem of making up sites upon your religion??
you have to agree there is a differene in dealing with things in different religions!! YOU HAVE TO AGREE ISLAM IS A COMPLETE WAY OF LIFE!!! its more than a religion!have you guys ever thought of the fact that for females its not allowed to touch men, which we have to do during examinations being medics(I m not talking abt emergency conditions, bear in mind) no one ever brought up the issue, why Pakistanis cant bring it up as Pakistanis r all, whether hindus/muslims/christians!!i cant ask that on a neutral forum either, they wldnt understand it, they beleive more in ethial ideas rather than religion,so whr an i ask this question n discus the issue
think over it and if u dnt agree with it that shows u do consider islam as an outdated religion

i m NO WAY against discussing issues reagrdless of religion but that doesnt mean having a muslim site is narrow mindness...
we understand things in two ways, either by reading or discussing
nowadays ppl dnt have tym fr religious boooks, just to 'understand' islam, specifically medics so its gud to have a place to share knowledge.........
hope u guys understand
Allah Hafiz everyone

Todays Kahbrain edition showed a very alarming news , telling that 8 children have been brutally killed to sell their organs. What is this all about. are these muslims as well. I understand that nowadays we muslims are busy protesting and destroying our own country's property and economy because some condemned idiot 7000 miles away made some stupid devilish sketches.
I believe we should also pay attention to this "insignificant reality" besides doing all these "very Important" work destroying public and government property for our own political agendas.
who buys these organs are these used for transplants or these criminals sell them for some other purposes , pls some body shed light on that.
clueless

Umar your efforts are appreciated.
The objections made by some of my brothers may be respected but i see it in a differnt perspective. IT'S TO GIVE A PRACTICAL HELP TO EACH OTHER [ have you guy's seen some indian sites and KNOW, how do they help each other |??].
The material support for acquiring higher and advanced knowledge can better and affesionatly be gotton through some one who has a selfless and brotherly feelings for you
