Immunological study among the workers of bakery and flour mill in Hyderabad and adjoint areas.

The Comparative study was carried out to estimate the frequency of occupational Asthma (respiratory allergic diseases) of bakers working in different bakeries of Hyderabad (Pakistan). The study was conceded to expose to flour dust during work in bakeries and compared with non exposed group. The study involved 30 individual working in bakery, out of 30 individual 20 was working in highly sensitive area of bakery where the exposure rate was high while 10 indiviual working in low exposure area, expoure area of and 30 comprise group (Control group). The results showed that the frequency of work-related respiratory symptoms higher among the exposed group than that in the comparison group. ELISA result was show that 76.6% of individuals with workrelated allergic symptoms working in highly exposed area, while only 23.3 % response seen among those working in low exposed area.
