Culture and sensitivity pattern of pathogens in burn unit of Fauji Foundation Hospital.

This retrospective study was conducted at Burn unit of Fauji Foundation Hospital, Rawalpindi. Review of 54 culture/sensitivity reports revealed, that Staph. aureas is the commonest organism 68.52%, followed by Klebsiella 29.63% and mixed pathogens were found in 25.97% of CIS reports. Amoxacillin+Clavulanic acid and Fosfomycin show better response against all organisms. Gentamycin also proved very effective against all organisms grown, except Staph aureus.
