Acute Iritis Following Nd:YAG Laser Posterior capsulotomy.
Pak J Ophthalmol Jan ;11(3):90.

A 71-year-old woman developed posterior capsular opacification two years following a very rewarding extracapsular cataract extraction with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation. An uneventful capsulotomy with Nd:YAG laser was performed. When the patient returned for intraocular pressure evaluation on the second day, a frank iritis with perilimbal injection and anterior chamber cellular infiltration was noted in the operated eye only. There was no elevation of intraocular pressure in either eye. Diagnosis of post-Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy iritis was made and proper treatment instituted promptly. Full recovery ensued in two weeks.
