Pak Paed J Jan ;41(3):178-80.

Neurofibromatosis type1 (NF1) is the second most common neurocutaneous syndrome after Tuberous sclerosis complex. The prevalence of epilepsy among NF1 ranges from 3.8 to 7%. Epilepsy is not common feature in children with NF1 and if it occurs it is due to the structural malformation of the cortical development. There is a higher prevalence of West syndrome (infantile spasms) and febrile seizures in patients with NF1 than the general population.
