Role of Testicular Biopsy in male Infertility.
Pak Armed Forces Med J Jan ;52(1):66-71.

A total of 80 cases of testicular biopsy of male infertility were evaluated in one year period between 1995 to 1996. All the biopsies were categorized into various types and their relative frequency was determined. Normal spermatogenesis and marked testicular atrophy each was noted in 35% cases, Sertoli cell-only syndrome in 7.5% patients, maturation arrest in 7.5% cases, chronic non-specific orchitis in 5% individuals and hypospermatogenesis in 10% patients. The greatest value of testicular biopsy and its clinical correlation is to demarcate curable from irremediable cases so that appropriate action is taken .
