Rawal Med J Jan ;28(1):22-4.

Widespread use of non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs can lead to a variety of symptoms of gastrointestinal injury. These drugs can cause damage to the gastrointestinal mucosa starting from esophagus to stomach, small bowel and large bowel. While drug related esophagitis, small bowel ulceration and colopathy are less frequent, gastrotoxicity is most common clinical manifestation of adverse effects of these drugs and therefore this commentary will be mostly focusing on the gastrotoxicity of the these agents. This is a review article.
