Objectives: To assess the effectiveness of immediate postoperative and home based physical therapy approaches after breast surgery. Methodology: A convenient sample of 40 patients from 2 major hospitals of Faisalabad was randomly divided into treatment and control groups. Individualized & supervised exercise plan using the Post-op protocol of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) was given to treatment group for four consecutive weeks. The control group after getting discharged received only an exercise brochure containing same exercises. Patients were followed for consecutive 4 weeks and data regarding pain, shoulder range of motion, upper limb disability and quality of life were recorded. SPSS version 20 was used for data analysis.
