Upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders in female versus male workers.

Objective: To calculates the risk of developing upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders in males and females and to investigate the factors that increase the risk. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at Chen One Limited. The sampling was non probability convenient sampling 60 male and 60 female factory workers were included in the study. Data were collected through Orebro Musculoskeletal Questionnaire and each individual was graded on the basis of questionnaire. Gender specific statistical analyses was performed on all the variables of interest. Results: 52 participants complained of neck pain, 17 complained of upper back, 12 complained of arm pain, 1 complained of leg pain and 18 complained of several areas of pain.
