Perceived social support with quality of life among drug addicted and non-addicted adolescents.

Objective: To assess the relationship of perceived social support with quality of life among addicts, relapse addicts, under-treatment addicts and non-addicts adolescents. Methodology: This correlational cross-sectional study was conducted in different government, private colleges, rehabilitation centers and hospitals of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan from January to October 2019. The samples of 160 male adolescents of age range 14 to 19 years were randomly selected. World health quality of life scale and perceived social support scale Urdu version were used for data collection. Results: There was a positive relationship between quality of life and perceived social support. Non-addicted adolescents scored highest on quality of life scale as compared to addicts taking no any treatment, addicts undergoing treatment, addicts showing relapse. Conclusion: Adolescents taking not any kind of drug showing better quality of life and high perceived social support.
