Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), is the causative agent, which leads to an endemic tickborne viral disease, leading to fever, Disseminated Intra-vascular Coagulation, bleeding from various orifices and eventual high fatality rates. Healthcare providers are at a constant threat of acquiring this lethal infection through, unprotected contact with blood and secretions of the patient. Knowledge of the disease and strict universal safety precautions can save lives and help control spread of disease. Vector (ticks) control and education of persons, involved in animal husbandry, is the only realistic option of disease eradication. This is a review article.
