Importance of clinical diagnosis in Knee Arthroscopy.
Pak Postgrad Med J Jan ;12(1):1-4.

A review of the results of arthroscopies of the knee was compared with preoperative clinical diagnosis revealed an accuracy of preoperative diagnosis of 64%. It is suggested that Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) should be used when there is difficulty in reaching a clinical diagnosis. Accurate clinical diagnosis will reduce the number of patients subjected to arthroscopy and later on follow up of the patients.
